‘Storage Wars’ star Darrell Sheets passes away at 67

“Storage Wars” fan favorite Darrell Sheets has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Lake Havasu Police in Arizona. He was 67 years old.

Early Wednesday morning, officers responded to a report of a deceased individual at his house, where they found Sheets and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Sheets appeared on 163 episodes of “Storage Wars,” an A&E reality show that followed teams of buyers as they competed against each other to get the best payoff from the contents of auctioned off storage lockers. While on the show, he earned the nickname “The Gambler” because of his love of high-risk purchases during auctions.

He also appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and on Rachael Ray’s talk show. Once he quit being on camera in 2016, Sheets moved to Lake Havasu, AZ, and opened his own antique store, Havasu Show Me Your Junk.

A spokesperson for A&E told TMZ, “We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”

Sheets is survived by his two children, Tiffany Shane Sheets and Brandon Sheets. He will surely be missed.
